Lending a Helping Gummy: Herbaland Launches New Community Fundraising Program
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, July 15, 2019—Richmond-based gummy manufacturer, Herbaland Naturals has launched a new community fundraising program. Dubbed, “Lend a Helping Gummy,” the program aims to support healthy communities by providing a healthy and inclusive alternative to traditional fundraising programs.
The idea came to the Herbaland team after their office was solicited by a community organization selling sugary treats. “We loved what the organization was doing and wanted to support them,” explained Heidi Volpov, Herbaland’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager, “however, the treats weren’t appropriate for our office: our team is quite health-conscious and has a diverse array of dietary needs - vegan, nut-free, halal, and gluten-free. We immediately sat down and started brainstorming how we could extend our community giving programs to include a healthy fundraising option”
The “Lend a Helping Gummy” program launched today, with three products available for fundraising sales, boasting 50-70% profit margins for organizations. Available in Herbaland’s signature Vegan Protein Gummies in Fantastic Fruit or in Chocolate Cookie Dough, as well as Calcium and Vitamin D vitamins. “Wellness is really at the heart of our offering—these products are formulated with natural ingredients, without major allergens, and are low in sugar,” explains Volpov. “We’re also proud that we can go the extra mile by offering community organizations opportunities for co-branding, putting their logo right next to ours, on the vitamin labels.”
Herbaland has long been an advocate of giving back to their community, and has worked with organizations like Easter Seals, Make-A-Wish Foundation of BC and Yukon, and Help Change My City. “We are very happy that our fundraising program will allow us to partner with even more organizations in our community,” says Musharafa Syed, Herbaland’s CEO. Herbaland has also opened its facility up to schools and organizations for field trips and educational tours.
