Ingredients:

  • Ten organic apples (you can choose any variety)
  • One cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp clove
  • 1.5 tsp of ginger
  • 1-inch fresh ginger knob, sliced thin

 

 Directions:

  1. Wash and quarter apples, place in a large pot
  2. Add all spices
  3. Cover with filtered water
  4. Bring to a low bowl and simmer on low for 2 hours
  5. Mash apples with a potato masher
  6. Let mixture cool
  7. Strain with a cheesecloth
  8. Pour into jars and use within four days
  9. Serve with maple syrup or honey of not sweet enough; sweetness depends on apple choice
  10. Enjoy!
