This mouth-watering vegan recipe is from Herbaland Ambassador Connie Leung aka @conniekyleung on Instagram. She was inspired by the citrus flavor of our Plant-Based Omega 3 gummies!

I N G R E D I E N T S:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour 
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda 
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup almond mylk
  • 1 Tbsp rose water
  • 1 blood orange

D I R E C T I O N S:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F
  2. In a bowl, combine the all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the cane sugar, orange juice, almond mylk and rose water
  4. Add in the dry mixture, and mix
  5. Pour into a 6" cake pan and place the sliced blood orange on top
  6. Bake for 45 minutes

P R O T I P:
Reheat leftover slices of cake for 15 minutes @350F - It gives it a crunchy exterior but the inside is still soft and fluffy!
