Healthy for the Holidays Tip from Michael Lam aka @mlam604: Traveling Healthy
Hi my name is Michael, I am known as @mlam604 on Instagram.
I did a 30 day project traveling and came up with tips on how to stay fit during your Holidays! ⠀
- Moderation, everything in moderation, portion control when you eat!! Maybe grab a smaller plate or bowl so that you do not go nuts. You can eyeball your carbohydrates with a fist size and veggies should be two fist size and protein one fist size. ⠀
- Exercise! If you workout, you will know how hard your workout was & this may make it easier for you to put down that tray of brownies. ⠀
- Hydration is key, after your meal you may feel the need to eat even more! Make sure you are well hydrated this will also help you and prevent you from 2nds... 3rds... the whole table. ⠀
In short, one unhealthy meal won’t make you unhealthy, one healthy meal won’t make you healthy. If it were me and I had many holiday parties to attend, I may save that cake for my friends face. ;) ⠀
Herbaland has been very supportive to me with my Dragonboat competition in Europe this year as well as my fitness treks in Asia. ⠀
Lastly, if you have a sweet tooth and give in to sweets, you can pack any of the following and pop them out when you are closing to caving in over your limit of sweets! ⠀
⠀
During the day I take my :⠀
- multivitamin gummies ⠀
- BCAAs 30 mins before/after my workout ⠀
- Vitamin D and B12 ⠀⠀
When I crave sweets you will often see me eat my protein gummies, veg gummies, or the slim. ⠀
⠀
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! ⠀
